There is a quote in a movie that Angelina Jolie stars in where she says, “Happy endings are just stories that haven’t finished yet” and that quote used to make me so sad, because it’s true. All stories, full stories end with death, one way or another. And stories that don’t are really just the end meeting a new beginning.

But it’s okay, because happiness isn’t in the ending. It’s in the middle, in the beginning and in the during. Happiness is everything in between. Happiness can be right now if you choose not to see it as a means to an end and instead just look for it. Look for the happy that you have right now.
