I am a Canadian girl born in a family of generations of farmers; dairy, chicken, peas, and everything under the sun. I am grateful for farming. Farmers feed cities! But since becoming a vegetarian in February and learning about the negative impact that meat has on our overall health, coupled with the impact that eating animals has had on the environment I began to imagine a future where we treated farm animals the same way we would our beloved pets. We wouldn’t dream of dining on horses and dogs… and in the future I foresee; cows are for cuddling, not consuming.
