This painting combines so many elements of my favourite things; angel numbers, witchy vibes, feminism, protesting the patriarchy, puns, cheekiness, spiritual symbolism, and obviously art. This was an original photograph that I found on Pinterest, where I get a lot of my inspiration from. I believe that everyone in the world would benefit from a matriarchal society, and I hope that I am fortunate enough to at last see that shift in my lifetime. The patriarchy oppresses women and mean for that matter. We are all suffering when greed and power and systemic oppression are the driving forces beyond our current society. I long for a true coven of women, of communities that share gardens and secrets, that sexuality and self expression are not taboo and that the fertility, wisdom and intuition are uplifted and celebrated. This painting is an ode to that notion, in the most delightful whimsical way.
